Legendary ski resort where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are spending Valentine's Day

“Breathtakingly beautiful and incredible terrain,” the visitor continued. “It offers great shopping and dining for people who don’t want to ski.

“Everything about Whistler runs like a well-oiled machine. We hope to be back!”

However, Harry and Meghan may not have the time to enjoy the slopes as they’ll be busy making public appearances throughout February 14-16 to support the upcoming games.

Thankfully, there’s still plenty for the couple to do during their downtime that travellers who aren’t fans of adventure sports can take advantage of.

Despite being one of Canada’s most popular ski resorts, there’s plenty to do in the summer months as Whistler also boasts high-end food and drink, relaxing lodges and a scenic hiking trail.

The resort’s website reads: “From our ancient, volcanic peaks with their 360 degree views, to our vibrant and sophisticated village with its incredible vibe, Whistler Blackcomb has summer covered from top to bottom.

“Travel across BC’s rooftop on the world record-breaking PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola, explore over 50km of high alpine hiking trails, then head to the valley for a bike ride on Whistler’s paved valley trail, or its renowned single-track network in the world-famous Whistler Mountain Bike Park.”

Whether you want to ski, enjoy fine dining, hike a 25-mile trail or just relax ahead of the Invictus Games, Whistler could be the perfect destination for holidaymakers eyeing Canada for summer or winter this year.
