Prince Harry’s children 'will not return to UK for a long time' leaving monarch 'hurt'

Prince Harry’s children will not come back to the UK for “a long time”, according to a royal commentator. Despite their father making multiple trips, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet did not visit England in 2023.

The Duchess of Sussex also avoided coming, despite the Coronation taking place, which Harry attended alone.

Royal commentator Michael Cole told GB News that the King will be upset by the lack of time he has been able to spend with his grandchildren, having reportedly met Lilibet just once.

Cole said: “I think the King feels hurt by the fact that he does not see his grandchildren in California. It would be quite natural for any man to wish to see his grandchildren.

“I know for a fact that the King is very keen. He loves his children, he loves his grandchildren, he loves his godchildren.

“The fact he does not see Archie and Lilibet and that is not his wish, will be very upsetting to him.

“It will be a long time before Prince Harry returns to the country with his children.”

It is unclear when Harry and Meghan will next travel to the UK, having turned down an invite to the Duke of Westminster’s wedding in the summer of 2024.

The rest of the family, including the King, Queen and Prince and Princess of Wales are all expected to attend the event.

However, sources close to the Sussexes claim that the couple turned down the invitation due to fears it would be “too awkward”.
