Prince Harry appeared to pose a very blunt five-word retort when asked about living so far from Royal Family.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been living in the US since 2020, moving there shortly after stepping down as a senior working royals.
Now settled in California with their two children, the couple live more than 5,000 miles away from the UK.
During his new candid interview with Good Morning America, Harry was asked about his decision to live so far away from the Royal Family especially with “so much happening back with your family where you come from”.
To which Harry responded: “I have my own family.”
“As we all, so my family and my life in California is as it is.”
Harry then went onto share that he has “other trips planned” – ones that would take him “back to the UK or through the UK”.
Speaking of the Royal Family, Harry stated that he will make sure to see his family “as much as I can”. Although stating that he loves living in the US, Harry said that he doesn’t feel American.
Harry shared that he has “considered” becoming a US citizen, but it is “not a high priority”.
Meghan and Harry surprised fans with their plans to step down as senior royals back in January 2020. Sharing a statement on their then-official Instagram account, the couple stated that they would travel back-and-forth between the UK and America.
Harry has made various trips to the UK since stepping down, but Meghan has kept her visits to a minimum.
Meghan was last in the UK for the late Queen’s state funeral in September 2022.
Harry travelled back to the UK last week, just hours after his father King Charles’s cancer diagnosis was made public.
Meghan decided to remain in the US to care for their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Archie, four, and Lilibet, two, are said to have last visited Harry’s home country in June 2022.
The two little ones travelled to the UK for the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations – with Lilibet also celebrating her first birthday in the UK.
