Now, Daily Mail columnists Andrew Pierce and Sarah Vine have claimed the Sussexes are “trolling” the royals with the photo.
Speaking on ‘The Reaction’, Pierce said: “In the very week the King is going into hospital… he is there consorting, hobnobbing with one of the most overtly republican prime ministers in the Caribbean.
“Somebody who also wants to break up the Commonwealth which was so precious to the Queen. They are tone deaf.”
Vine then said: “They are deliberately trolling the Royal Family. Both the Princess of Wales and King Charles are in hospital and they have not said anything.
“Normally, they are keen for everyone to know how much they care about people and they have not said anything. I think their game plan is going to be self-hating Royals.
“They are going to be ‘we are part of the Royal Family but we hate it’.”
Harry and Meghan left the Royal Family in 2020 after numerous reports of a rift in the Firm.
They remain at odds with the Duke’s family after their repeated criticism of royal life in their Netflix series and Harry’s memoir ‘Spare’.
