Oscars season is back upon us with the likes of Oppenheimer and Killers of the Flower Moon expected to receive big nominations next year.
Joining the pack of likely contenders for Academy Awards is Sir Ridley Scott with his Napoleon biopic.
The latest trailer has landed with Joaquin Phoenix in the title role opposite Vanessa Kirby as his Empress and Rupert Everett as the Duke of Wellington.
The official synopsis reads: “Against a stunning backdrop of large-scale filmmaking orchestrated by legendary director Ridley Scott, the film captures Bonaparte’s relentless journey to power through the prism of his addictive, volatile relationship with his one true love, Josephine, showcasing his visionary military and political tactics against some of the most dynamic practical battle sequences ever filmed.”
Napoleon arrives in UK cinemas on November 22, 2023 before heading to Apple TV+ with a rumoured four hour cut.
