Meghan Markle's relaunch highlights 'pivotal link to Netflix' as couple set to renew deal

Meghan Markle launched a food and lifestyle brand on Thursday which led royal experts to believe she is about a deal with a major streaming giant.

Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex signed a five-year, $100 million contract with the streaming giant in September 2020 to produce documentaries, docuseries, feature films, scripted shows and children’s programming but have only released one docuseries so far.

Royal expert Richard Fitzswilliams told Daily Express US he believes Meghan’s return to Instagram is a telling sign this deal is about to be renewed.

The pair have been in a race against time as they have just one year left to make their Netflix deal a success or face financial difficulties.

A source revealed to Closer Magazine that the couple is facing “crunch time” as they’ve got one year left to “produce and impress Netflix enough to keep them on”.

The royal couple are “scrambling” to pitch content to the streaming giant as their expenses are sprialling “out of control”.
