Meghan Markle slammed as 'least popular royal' in first episode of new show

Meghan Markle has been slammed as the least popular member of the royal family on a new talk show’s first episode. Sarah Vine and Andrew Pierce made the statement in their new Daily Mail YouTube show, the Reaction, which launched on Wednesday.

They were discussing Prince Andrew’s future in the royal family following the release of new court documents linking him to sex trafficker and paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

The pair debated whether the King should evict Andrew from the Royal Lodge, a 30-room mansion in Windsor, where he’s lived for 20 years.

Mr Pierce suggested he be sent to California to live with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who moved to the US in 2020 after leaving their lives as senior royals in a bid for privacy.

Mr Pierce said: “The other thing we could do is we could send him to Montecito, there is plenty of room in that house, rattling around with those other two very popular Royals, Harry and Meghan.

“The only consolation for Andrew is that Prince Harry is vying with him in the unpopularity stakes for who’s the least popular, I think Meghan is probably the least popular.”

Just last month, the pair came in an embarrassing 12th and 13th place in a poll of the most popular royal family members. They only rated higher than Prince Andrew in the YouGov poll. Just 24 percent of people had a positive opinion of the Sussexes.

In the same survey, Harry came first and Meghan fourth in the fame rating, where 99 percent and 97 percent of people, respectively, had heard of them.

Also in the first episode, Sarah Vine and Andrew Pierce debated the Post Office scandal, gender self-ID laws in Scotland and Jason Donovan’s budgie smugglers.
