Mo Salah storms down the tunnel after Jurgen Klopp row and another Liverpool slip-up

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah stormed straight down the tunnel at the London Stadium after his side had been held to a 2-2 draw by West Ham in the Premier League on Saturday. The result means Liverpool’s title hopes are almost certainly up in smoke once and for all following a torrid run of form, which has seen them pick up just five points from their last five league encounters.

Salah has been Liverpool’s talisman year after year since joining the club from Roma in the summer of 2017. But his name was glaringly absent from the Reds’ starting team to face the Hammers in the capital.

The 31-year-old was then seen arguing with Klopp at the side of the pitch as he waited to enter the action as a substitute with just over 10 minutes remaining. And after the final whistle sounded in east London, the Egypt international decided to head straight off the pitch instead of embracing his opponents and acknowledging the Reds fans.

After Saturday’s clash, Klopp was quizzed by TNT Sports about his exchange of words with Salah. And he said: “No [I can’t say what was said], but we spoke about it already in the dressing room. That’s done.”

And when asked about the title race, the German replied: “I’m not in the mood to talk about that to be honest or look at that at all. We had to win here – we knew that – and we didn’t. And now we have a little bit more time between now and the next game. We try to get the boys ready again and we will go again.”
