Meghan Markle set to 'control' Harry's royal return amid speculation Duke could be back

Meghan Markle may “control” Prince Harry’s return to a temporary royal role, according to an expert who claims she is “in charge” of her husband.

It has been suggested that the Duke of Sussex could step back into a working royal role while his father King Charles III undergoes treatment for cancer.

The monarch is expected to be out of action for months as he takes a step back from royal duties to focus on his health.

And with Princess Kate also recovering from an abdominal procedure, other Royal Family members are having to step up and take on more engagements on behalf of the King.

According to reports, Harry told friends he would “step into a royal role” while his father is unwell to help out Prince William who is first in line to the throne.

Speaking on GB News, royal biographer Angela Levin warned Harry that Meghan may try to “control” his return to royal life.

She claimed the Duchess of Sussex would be “in charge” of her husband as he begins life as a “part-time royal”.

Ms Levin added: “He said in 2023 that he wants to look after the monarchy, make it more modern and look after William’s children so that they won’t have the same difficult time as he’s had now. William doesn’t want anybody messing around with his children.”

In a recent interview with Good Morning America, Harry seemed to hint at a possible reconciliation with his family after news of his father’s illness.

Discussing his visit, he said: “I love my family and the fact I was able to get on a plane and spend time with him, I’m grateful for that.”

Asked on his “outlook” on the King’s health, Harry blunty said: “That stays between me and him.” Presenter Reeve then asked about a possible reunion with his family following the news, to which Harry encouragingly said: “I’m sure. The strength of the family unit coming together – I see it all the time.”

He added that he has “other trips planned”, saying he will “stop in” and see his family during those.
