Meghan Markle facing 'seriously daunting' challenge with new Amazon project

Meghan Markle’s deal with Spotify may have come to an end but the Duchess of Sussex is reportedly about to forge a new partnership with another huge brand.

The royal is said to be on the cusp of striking a lucrative deal with Amazon’s audiobook service Audible.

A source told Closer: “Word of mouth is spreading that it will lead to a huge payout – even bigger than the millions Spotify splashed out – and Meghan is thrilled that she’ll be in the company of Michelle and Barack Obama.”

The insider was referring to the former US President and his wife’s own deal with Amazon last year.

They went on to say how Meghan seemed “very confident” at the moment but the “reality” was different with the Duchess said to be in a “pretty desperate spot”.

Adding: “She’s been pretty lost since but this deal could turn everything around.”

Moreover, the Audible deal could be “make or break for her Hollywood dream”, the source claimed.

They also said: “She feels ready but that doesn’t mean this isn’t seriously daunting.”

Meghan and Prince Harry’s Spotify deal came to an end after their podcast series Archetypes was cancelled after one season.

Previously, both the Sussex’s company and the music platform released a joint statement, which read: “Spotify and Archewell Audio have mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we made together.”

The latest reports come as Meghan is said to still be planning a Hollywood reinvention with “big plans” after Spotify.

Moreover, her former TV series Suits was breaking major streaming records as new viewers came to the show and was only recently knocked off its plinth by Netflix’s romantic drama Virgin River.

Suits’ continued popularity has also led to reports of a possible show set within the same universe.

While Meghan’s friend Kelly Rowland recently said the former actress was royal before she married into the British monarchy.

Daily Express has approached representatives for Meghan for comment on this story.
