Meghan Markle 'dodged a bullet' missing Prince Harry's award event following major gaffe

Meghan Markle “dodged a bullet” when chose to skip a “low-rent” event Prince Harry attended over the weekend, an expert claimed.

The Duke of Sussex attended the Living Legends of Aviation Awards Show in Los Angeles last Friday.

Charlotte Griffiths, the Mail on Sunday’s editor-at-large, described the event as “low-rent,” which would have left Harry’s PR team with “their head in their hands”.

During the event, Harry took a selfie with Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe, who claims to be a distant cousin of the Royal Family.

The head of his German family, Prince Alexander of Schaumburg-Lippe, has warned the Duke to stay away from the controversial Mario-Max, who was once dubbed the “King of Trash TV” and was a contestant on German Big Brother.

“I don’t think it would have done her reputation much good being there because it was just low rent.”

She said that Harry is “getting bad advice” from his PR team.

“Harry has got his amazing Hollywood PR team around him, I just don’t know what happened in the build-up to this but they appeared to realise that it might not be the best event in the whole world because of the way he went about his appearance.”

Griffiths stated that the Duke is “getting bad advice” and that he wouldn’t have taken “selfies” or gone to such an event if he was still an active member of the Royal Family.
