King Charles reportedly has one very romantic gesture that he made to his wife, Queen Camilla.
Today is Valentines Day and, to mark the occasion, rormer royal butler Grant Harrold has weighed in on who is the most romantic royal.
Speaking of the King, the fomer butler claims that the King is “a romantic” – just like his eldest son, Prince William.
Discussing one romantic gesture that the King does for his wife, Mr Harrold said: “I never saw any love notes lying around, but the King is very traditional and old-fashioned.
“He wouldn’t not do something to express his love for Camilla or Diana at the time.”
Speaking on behalf of Slingo, he added: “He would always go the extra mile. And there were times where we did Valentine’s dinners for the King.”
Discussing his time working for the now-monarch, Mr Harrold added: “When I worked with the King, he once asked me to give him a film for him and Camilla to watch together. And I gave them a copy of Some Like It Hot which features Marylin Monroe.”
Speaking of the King and Queen Camilla’s favourite films, he added that they are “fans of romantic comedies”.
He said: “I think the Royals enjoy films/TV as a form of escape from their everyday lives.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if Camilla was a fan of a lot of rom-coms.”
Mr Harrold went on to reveal who was “the most romantic royal” and ended up giving that title to the King’s eldest son, Prince William.
He said: “William has always been a romantic at heart. He was always a gentleman with Kate and he still is to this day.
“His attention to detail is always spot on and what he does to make Kate feel important and appreciated. He’s the most romantic royal.”
It remains unclear how the King will spend this Valentine’s Day, especially due to his recent cancer diagnosis – although he will undoubtedly spend the day with his wife.
The King and Queen Camilla will celebrate their 19th wedding anniversary later this year, on April 9.
The Prince and Princess of Wales will also celebrate their 13th wedding anniversary in April.
