‘I’m Meghan Markle’s hair stylist and here’s how you can replicate her new winter look’

The Duchess of Sussex styled her espresso-hued tresses several ways during her visit to Canada ahead of the Invictus Winter Games, and her celebrity hairstylist has shared the secrets behind her fabulous look.

Hair colourist, Kadi Lee, posted photos of Meghan Markle on the ski slopes in Whistler as Harry and Meghan celebrated the ‘One Year to Go’ event, giving royal fans a glimpse into her new hair hue.

Writing on an Instagram post, Kadi Lee wrote: “Chocolate chestnut brunette, for Meghan, Duchess of Sussex for Invictus Games.”

He added: “This mixture of red and golden undertones makes a dynamic shade of brunette that not only gives skin the healthiest glow, especially during the colder months of winter, it also provides the hair with a next level high power shine.”

The photo included Meghan wearing a navy beanie hat, with her brunette loose locks flowing over her dark-coloured jacket.

Under the photo of Meghan Markle, fans of the style rushed to comment their love for the new look. One user wrote: “Absolutely stunning. So shiny and healthy. GOALS.”

User @paloma_francielle1992 added: “The color matched perfectly with the Duchess of Sussex Meghan, it brought luminosity to her beautiful face.”

Another praised the hair stylist: “Congratulations on your beautiful work with Duchess Meghan, her hair is magnificent.”

Throughout the three-day event the Duchess of Sussex was supportive of her husband, Prince Harry as she took pictures and filmed him in action as he braved the skeleton track, clocking speeds of over 60mph. Despite Harry taking part, Meghan was quick to retort “No way!” when she was asked to participate.

At the first winter edition of the Invictus Games to be held in 2025, new sports such as skeleton, alpine skiing, snowboarding, wheelchair curling and Nordic skiing will be taking place.

On the third and final day of the Invictus event in Whistler, Canada, the Duchess had her tresses swept into a side ponytail for the wheelchair curling demonstration at the Hillcrest community centre where Prince Harry and singer Michael Bublé hit the ice to try out the sport.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were also treated to an impromptu concert by Michael Buble during a lavish gala dinner to mark the end of their trip

He even made some playful remarks about Harry while singing a personalised version of Frank Sinatra’s famous song ‘My Way’. Meghan found these jokes hilarious and was laughing as he made a sweet nod to Meghan’s pet name for her husband.

He sang: “She calls him H, we call him Harry.”

Speaking about the Invictus Games, which the Prince founded in 2014, Harry said: “This year will mark ten years of the Invictus Games. The past decade has been a testament to the power of resilience and the unbreakable spirit you all exemplify. And boy have we had fun on the way.”
