Bed bugs have now been spotted across the UK after panic broke out when they were first spotted across Paris.
Cases of bed bugs has soared since the pesky creatures went viral as people took to social media to share videos of them.
With a lifespan of four to six months, bed bugs can be difficult to get rid of and can lead to health issues if not removed.
Recently, a woman who stayed in a Premier Inn hotel claimed compensation after she noticed bite marks on her legs after a stay in Hastings, East Sussex.
A GP allegedly confirmed the bites were from bed bugs, leading to Vicky Hills disposing of her home bedding after fears they may have entered her home.
But this is just the latest case, with more reports coming in of the creatures wreaking havoc across transport systems and in people’s homes.
