Prince Harry and Meghan LIVE: UK return 'would bring up terrible memories' for the Duchess

Meghan Markle visiting the UK anytime soon appears extremely unlikely as it “would bring up terrible memories of the past for her”, a royal expert has claimed.

Prince Harry will visit London next Wednesday to attend a special service to commemorate the Invictus Games. But he will make the trip alone, with Meghan instead deciding to join him for a tour of Nigeria in the days following.

Royal expert Charlotte Griffiths told GB News the Duchess of Sussex “knows she’ll get booed and get a bad reception” if she were to step foot in the UK again, adding: “If she was to come to the UK, it would be really difficult.

“It would bring up terrible memories of the past for her and awkward moments when she was in various churches and things.”

Meghan has made limited appearances in the UK since she and Harry stepped back from the Royal Family in 2020. She then made several claims against the royals in an interview with Oprah Winfrey and the couple’s Netflix documentary series.
