UK five-day forecast: Blustery Britain's fortunes to change in hours as thermometers soar

But temperatures will be on the rise into next week even as low pressure moves across the south, bringing rain and cloud on Friday (April 14).

After initial showers in Northern Ireland and the north of Britain, Friday evening should be dry though there is a chance of showers for Edinburgh, York and Leeds.

Netweather.tv’s Jo Farrow said: “With a few days to go, there will be some uncertainty about the rain and wind around this little low pressure but currently, it looks like there will still be outbreaks of rain over the Midlands and Manchester across to eastern England but then drifting south-eastwards.

“So, during Friday evening and night rain over East Anglia, the Home Counties and London. Around that there will be strong winds along Channel coasts and across the West Country veering to the northwest.”
