Representatives of Solomon have stated the winger did not share any anti-Palestine content and only criticised the Hamas attack. The unnamed representative, speaking to The Telegraph, was quoted saying: “It’s ridiculous. He didn’t make any anti-Palestine posts, just support for his own country. It’s ridiculous. Instagram is ridiculous.”
The Israeli Football Association had also criticised the move to bar Solomon from the platform and indicated that his views had been censored, uploading an image of their national team player with tape over his mouth.
A caption alongside the image read: “The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help you God!”
Solomon spent the season on loan with Fulham during the 2022-23 campaign and scored five times in 24 appearances before joining Spurs on a free transfer this summer. He is yet to score for Ange Postecoglou’s side in six appearances and is ruled out for the time being after suffering a meniscus injury to his right knee.
