Tottenham target teases £15m Premier League move after outdoing Harry Kane in Bundesliga

Tottenham have been encouraged in their reported pursuit of in-form striker Serhou Guirassy after the Stuttgart star opened the door to a potential switch to the Premier League. Reports suggest Spurs are one of several clubs keeping tabs on the Bundesliga hitman who has enjoyed a phenomenal start to his career in Germany, as he rivals Spurs icon Harry Kane for the top scorer prize.

The 27-year-old has been a revelation since arriving at the Bundesliga club initially on loan from Rennes last summer. The German club exercised their buy option to sign Guirassy permanently and he has rewarded them with a flurry of goals so far this season.

Guirassy has bagged a remarkable 14 goals in just eight appearances so far this season, with only Bayern Munich talisman Kane posting a higher tally in the top five European leagues.

But the Guinea international is actually scoring at a higher rate than Kane, having scored 14 goals in 643 minutes – meaning he is finding the net every 45.8 minutes on average. Meanwhile, Kane’s impressive rate of 15 goals in 872 minutes gives him an average scoring rate of a goal every 58.1 minutes.
