Prince Harry is reportedly on “speaking terms” with only two royals, an expert has claimed, before delivering their verdict on whether the Duke of Sussex could reunite with the Royal Family. Despite being thousands of miles from the Royal Family, 39-year-old Harry seems to be close to his cousins Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
Prince Harry’s connection with Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie was evident during King Charles’s Coronation on May 6 last year.
While Meghan and their two children, including four-year-old son Prince Archie and two-year-old Lilibet, remained in California, Harry participated in the event at Westminster Abbey.
He was seen entering with a smile, engaging in conversation with Beatrice, her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, Eugenie, and her husband Jack Brooksbank.
During the ceremony, the Duke of Sussex took his seat in the third row, positioned between Jack and Princess Alexandra.
Speaking to GB News, royal commentator Michael Cole said: “We have a situation where Megan is hardly on speaking terms with any member of her family apart from her mother and one niece.
“And Harry is on not on speaking terms with any member of the royal family apart from Prince Andrew’s daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie.”
Princess Eugenie maintains a close relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and is widely believed to have the most positive connection with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
In February 2022, Prince Harry was accompanied by Princess Eugenie at the Super Bowl in California. Notably, she was the sole member of the Royal Family featured in recent footage as part of their Netflix docuseries, which aired in December.
The video depicted Eugenie engaging with Harry and Meghan’s son, Archie, on the beach.
Authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand highlighted the close bond between Harry and Eugenie in their book, Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family, stating: “Eugenie had always been more than just a cousin to Harry. They were also the closest of friends.”
Speaking with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, Meghan revealed that she knew Princess Eugenie prior to dating Harry. The Duchess of Sussex had said: “Eugenie and I had known each other before I had known Harry, so that was comfortable. We are friends with them as a couple”
