Tell-tale sign Meghan Markle has been preparing to launch lifestyle brand for years

Meghan Markle’s new lifestyle website is scheduled to carry homemade jams, and apparently, this is something the duchess has been working on for quite a while, says one eagle-eyed royal watcher.

Royally Obsessed’s Rachel Bowie was so intrigued by Meghan’s new venture, entitled American Riviera Orchard, that she did some digging and her research took her back to an interview from 2022, where Meghan dropped a hint about her passion project.

Meghan invited The Cut’s Allison P Davies to her home in Montecito, California, which backs up to an orchard. At the end of the interview, Meghan gifted Ms Davies with a harvest basket that included homemade jams with labels that read Lili Bunny Garden & Larder.

Ms Bowie discussed her findings on the latest episode of Royally Obsessed, saying, “It’s fascinating, because Meghan has been bottling jams, canning jams, for at least, a couple years.”

Right now, the blog is quite barren, there are no products listed, just a placeholder, but Bowie has a theory on why that is.

Meghan launched the blog on March 14, which is the same date that Prince Harry and Meghan flew from Canada to California in 2020, which they refer to as their “freedom flight.”

As of now, the website has a landing page and a waiting list, where visitors can provide their email address, but no content. There’s an Instagram page, with over 500,000 followers, but also, no content.

Bowie has a feeling she knows when the blog will go live, and fans can actually see what it’s all about. Meghan’s first blog, The Tig, “shuddered on April 7, 2017,” because Meghan was getting ready to marry Harry.

It’s believed, the blog will officially launch on the April 7, 2024, seven years after Meghan said goodbye to The Tig.

While the Instagram page isn’t showing any movement, Bowie is enjoying the aesthetic: “So, we got those nine pictures, which form a kind of grid photo, which is the same as the website.”

“It’s very calming, it has that beautiful calligraphy writing with the brand name, in Meghan’s handwriting, which some experts have pointed out, really beautiful there, the cypher of ARO, which is really interesting, because it just reminds me of the cypher of their sussex.com, where we had that relaunch and the royal coat of arms.”
