Suella Braverman's three-word plea as new Labour manifesto packed with 'woke' pledges

Suella Braverman has issued a brutal three-word plea after Labour sparked fury after revealing a new four-point plan. The party unveiled a number of ‘woke’ pledges as part of their new manifesto.

It outlines plans on LGBT inclusivity, including policies that may prevent parents and doctors from forcing young people to question whether they are really transgender.

Mrs Braverman issued the rare three-word emotional plea: “Please vote Conservative” in response.

Speaking in a little-watched parliamentary debate yesterday, senior Labour MP Angela Eagle revealed a four-point woke manifesto, promising Labour will implement highly controversial LGBT policies if elected.

Ms Eagle said Labour will offer the country “to pick up legislating to protect the LGBT community” with:

  • A comprehensive trans-inclusive ban on conversion therapy
  • Strengthening the law so anti-LGBT+ hate crimes are treated as aggravated offenses
  • Modernising the gender recognition processes
  • Appointing an international LGBT+ envoy

The revelation has sparked anger, with former GB News presenter Colin Brazier saying it offers a key clue about what Labour’s woke agenda will be if they win the election.

He tweeted: “Too many former Tory voters have a bad case of the unknown unknowns. They don’t know what Labour will do in office, because Labour won’t tell them.

“The problem with the woke agenda is that it’s almost impossible to predict what marginalia will go mainstream. This offers a clue.”

Trade unionist and writer Paul Embery pondered: “I wonder what past titans of the labour movement such as Denis Healey and Barbara Castle would make of this crackpottery.”

Others added: “It’s going to be a long five years” and “Thanks for clarifying… you’ve lost my vote”.

Tory MP Miriam Cates has already written extensively about the threat of including trans people in any so-called conversion therapy bans, not least warning that it could stop doctors and parents from “helping confused young people”.

She points to Canada, where a similar ban sees parents risk prosecution and jail for wanting to help their child experiencing gender confusion.

In Victoria, Australia, it is now a criminal offence for a parent to refuse a child’s request for puberty blockers or gender-affirming care.

Tories like Ms Cates warn that it is increasingly clear children need protecting from radical gender ideology, not pandered to.

Not least after the Tavistock clinic scandal and the revelation that some teachers are hiding pupils’ trans social transitioning from parents.

After months of dithering over how to define what a woman is, Sir Keir eventually said that the SNP’s policy of gender self-ID is not the “right way forward”.

He pledged that Labour will “keep it a medical process”, however would “modernise” the current act by “getting rid of some of the indignities in the process”.
