Startling video footage has emerged of a man throwing two objects through the glass counter at a Greggs store. The alleged attack occurred in a store in East Ham, London and filmed by a shocked bystander.
The clip shows the witness standing at the entrance to the store and looking in.
The alleged attacker can be seen dressed in all black before they throw an object – which appears to be a water bottle – at the glass counter, before lobbing another.
Fortunately the counter had nobody standing behind it at the time.
It is unclear what the object used to smash the counter was.
According to the X account London & UK Street News, the officers were called to the scene, arriving “shortly afterwards” before “the individual was arrested”.
The Met Police confirmed to Express.co.uk that a man was charged in relation to the incident.
Images taken from the scene show items strewn across the glass covered floor.
Another shot appears to show broken glass scattered across the counter.
The video of the incident was posted on X at 8am on March 21, and the poster claims it took place a “couple of days ago”.
However, Express.co.uk is yet to verify the date of the incident.
Express.co.uk has approached Greggs for comment.
