An elderly man had a surprising response to thieves targeting him in shocking CCTV footage.
The unnamed man was targeted on East Ham High Street in London as the footage shows two men plotting before reaching into the man’s pockets.
He had been waiting for a bus at a station with his back to the thieves, but thankfully felt the pickpocketers attempting to snatch his phone.
While one tried to distract him, he turned to confront the other as he raised his fist and left the thief backing away.
He continued confronting the man, before fleeing into a nearby shop to escape the thieves who then chased him inside as they hurled abuse at the pensioner.
And people in the comments were quick to praise the elderly man’s bravery, with one writing: “Disgusting man, trying to steal from an OAP.”
Another said: “This country is turning to s***.” While a third wrote: “London is the worse its been in my life time… I wanted the old guy to spark him one.”
A fourth said: “Another day in London”.
