Samantha Markle claims Meghan and Harry have 'toxic' and 'unhealthy' romance

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have a “toxic relationship” and are “really unhealthy for each other”, according to the Duchess of Sussex’s half-sister Samantha Markle.

The couple’s relationship has been under the microscope after it emerged Harry would be traveling to King Charles III’s Coronation next month, while Meghan remained in the US to care for their two young children.

In the years since being announced as Harry’s girlfriend, then wife and mother to Prince Archie-Harrison and Princess Lilibet Diana, Meghan has remained firmly in the spotlight.

As have her family, led by Samantha, as they attempt to reconcile with Meghan.

And in a bombshell new clip, members of Meghan’s family speak to Channel 7 Spotlight’s Taylor Auerbach to share new footage of their lives growing up and an “extraordinary message”.

In the trailer for Sunday’s show, Samantha claims Harry and Meghan are “really unhealthy for each other, it’s a toxic relationship”, as footage of the couple holding hands is played.

Despite Samantha’s claim, Meghan and Harry have continually appeared happy and united during every public appearance since their courtship was made public.

Mr Auerbach said his “world exclusive” interview would allow the public to gain an insight into Meghan “as you’ve never seen before”.

He added: “For the first time, the Markles unite with an extraordinary message on the eve of King Charles III’s coronation. These hidden tapes will stun the world! Only on ⁦ @Channel7.”

Clips from Meghan’s younger years will also be played, including one which shows her in a tiara and prom dress, sitting in a convertible car.

The voiceover then describes how “the world has never seen Meghan like this – the homecoming queen” before the Markle family and Mr Auerbach say the interview will be their “last ever”.

Samantha – who has previously claimed to have not spoken to Meghan since 2014 – also claims her half-sister “would still be a waitress if it wasn’t for dad”, Thomas Markle, who made a plea of his own asking how he can fix the relationship with his daughter.

The Channel 7 Spotlight interview is set to air prior to the Coronation next Sunday.

While Meghan’s family troubles have been laid bare ahead of King Charles III’s crowning on May 6, so too have Harry’s, as his family is reportedly upset as a result of autobiography Spare.

David Mellor, a former Conservative minister, accused Harry of “not only destroying his life, but destroying his ability to actually be accepted back into the Royal Family” in an interview on GB News this week.

The Coronation is expected to see billions of people tune in across the globe, witnessing for the first time since 1953 a new monarch in Britain take to the throne.
