Royal Family LIVE: Meghan set to earn whopping '£1m per post' in huge Instagram return

Meghan Markle could be set to earn £1million per post on Instagram as she reportedly gets ready to return on the social media platform.

The Duchess of Sussex was forced to close all personal social media accouts after her engagement to Prince Harry – with the couple starting their own one under the username @sussexroyal.

It had 9.4 million followers but was shut down in 2020 after the couple stepped down from their senior roles in the Firm and moved to the US.

Now, a new Instagram profile under the name “Meghan” has mysteriously appeared – sparking rumours she is returning to social media solo.

A source close to her team this week confirmed: “Yes, that’s her. Expect an announcement very soon. She’s coming back.”

The account is seemingly already followed by a number of Meghan’s close friends, including activist Mandana Dayani who served as president of Archewell.

And with her following set to sky rocket once she does return, experts have said she can expect to earn up to £1million per post if she chooses to take on sponsored content.

Eric Schiffer, a social media expert who advises the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars, ex-Disney actress Bella Thorne and cast members from the US version of Dragons’ Den, told the Daily Mail: “I don’t think Meghan coming back to Instagram will surprise anyone. She has a new talent manager and this is the next logical step.

“I would expect her to quickly become one of the most followed accounts on Instagram. You have celebrities like the Kardashians who can command $1million (£790,000) and up for a single post promoting a product. There is no reason Meghan couldn’t be earning those sorts of fees.”
