Royal Family LIVE: Meghan Markle in awkward moment as she steals Prince Harry's attention

Meghan Markle found herself in an “awkward” moment with Prince Harry as she tried to get his attention in a clip from the Duke’s newest documentary series.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex travelled to Canada on February 14 to mark “One Year to Go” until the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025, with one clip from the trip being used in Harry’s latest television programme which dropped on Hulu last Sunday.

The show, titled Prince Harry’s Mission: Life, Family, and the Invictus Games, focuses on an interview given by Harry while in Canada ahead of next year’s games. Body language expert Judi James commented that “Meghan’s body language shows her to be super-supportive and encouraging, clearly wanting to be more than Harry’s ‘Plus one’ here.”

However, after Harry’s skeleton ride, he was “in a clear state of exhilaration”, with the Duchess of Sussex “so keen to join in and to enjoy the exhilaration with Harry” but as he continued to talk, she was “left with a truncated hug plus two other conversion gestures of slight awkwardness as she waits”, Ms James told the Mirror.

She added: “She touches her face then raises her hand in a polite signal of a wish to speak. She then touches her knitted hat and in the end taps Harry to get his attention, smiling and covering her mouth in a collusive giggly grin before saying ‘Well done’.”
