Royal Family LIVE: King extends olive branch to Harry and Meghan after Frogmore row

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s former home in the UK will be available for the couple to stay in should they decide to attend King Charles’s Coronation, according to a report. It comes after Harry and Meghan confirmed they had been asked to vacate Grade II listed Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, not long after the publication of the Duke’s controversial memoir, Spare.

The Sussexes have confirmed their invitation was received via email. A spokesman for the couple said in a statement that Harry had “recently received email correspondence from His Majesty’s office regarding the Coronation”.

He added: “An immediate decision on whether the Duke and Duchess will attend will not be disclosed by us at this time.”

If Harry and Meghan were to attend the Coronation on May 6 at Westminster Abbey, it would be the first meeting between Charles and his younger son since the Duke deepened the rift with the Windsors by revealing family secrets in his bestselling book.
