Three. Trois. Not the first, not even the second, but the third.”
Referring to the popularity reached by Harry’s retelling of his frostbitten penis in his memoir Spare, Ms Elser added: “This is a new level of embarrassment for a Duke whose willy has ended up on newspaper front pages. Twice.”
In the two previous major services attended by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex after they stepped down as senior royals, Harry and Meghan sat in second row, alongside other non-working members of the Firm.
Shortly after the end of the Coronation service, the Duke of Sussex travelled back to California, likely aiming to be able back in time to celebrate the fourth birthday of Prince Archie.
Despite the importance of the event for the Sussex family, no official royal channel mentioned the birthday of the boy on Saturday. Last year it was reported the official Royal Family channel would not mark the birthdays of non-working royals, but the Prince and Princess of Wales still shared a message for the then three-year-old on their Twitter account.
No picture or message was released by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex either, likely not to steal the limelight from the King and Queen and the historic Coronation.
