Royal Family LIVE: Harry and Meghan accused of being 'contrived and fake' in new video

Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, have been accused of appearing “fake” in the couple’s latest video.

The clip of the Sussexes dropped on Wednesday to mark the launch of a fund to support online safety projects for young people.

Harry and Meghan personally phoned some of the recipients of the £1.56m ($2m) fund in their first joint public appearance in three months.

The Duke says the couple’s children are “incredibly grateful” to the group of young leaders, but Meghan goes on to contradict Harry by saying they were not aware of the work as yet but would one day benefit from the youngsters’ efforts.

In response to the video, Lady Victoria Hervey told GB News: “I think with Meghan she likes to always have the last word. It’s got to be about her. She has to finish her sentences… I found it very contrived. I found it very fake.”

Lady Victoria added: “I think it’s a PR stunt just to get them some better press because obviously it hasn’t been great for them recently. I think they filmed it a while ago and just fished it out because if things are not going great and they’re not together they want to make it look like they are together.”

Rumours have circulated about the state of the Sussexes’ marriage in recent days, but the couple appeared together in the video recorded in the garden of their Montecito mansion.

However, Meghan and Harry are reportedly ‘fed up’ with the endless divorce rumours, with an insider telling OK!: “The Sussexes’ marriage is fine. The reports of a separation stemmed from Harry making a solo trip to Africa, but that’s a work trip. It’s not a sign of trouble in their marriage.”

Royal biographer Ingrid Seward told GB News the couple’s latest appearance will give them a boost, adding: “I think they need the boost more for their work than for their marriage because I understand… that the marriage is fine, that’s what I understand.

“The professional side of their life is not so good. If they’re not seen, in Hollywood, people forget you very quickly.”
