World Snooker Championship LIVE: Ronnie O'Sullivan vs Ryan Day score updates

Ronnie O’Sullivan is on course for another appearance in the World Snooker Championship quarter-finals as he aims to win a record eighth title this year. The Rocket drew level with Stephen Hendry in the all-time title standings when he became the oldest player to win a world title following his triumph over Judd Trump in the showpiece event two years ago. And he dropped just seven frames in his first 27 frames of this year’s tournament.

O’Sullivan was in fine form in his first match of the tournament as he thrashed Jackson Page 10-1. The second seed then raced into a 6-2 lead against Ryan Day in his second round encounter, with the duo sharing eight frames on Sunday night. And the score was locked at 10-6 in O’Sullivan’s favour ahead of Monday’s final session.

Kyren Wilson and Joe O’Connor were in action on the other table on Sunday evening, with their session ending with the former leading 10-6, and return to the table this afternoon.

John Higgins and Mark Allen are also in action on Monday evening, with the Englishman winning the last three frames on Sunday to move 9-7 ahead. And Stuart Bingham will be aiming to hold off Jack Lisowski when their match resumes at 7pm after also building a 9-7 advantage.

We could be in for another spectacular day at the Crucible if Sunday’s action is anything to go by. So strap in and follow all the action courtesy of our live blog below…
