Royal Family ‘fearing the worst’ as Meghan Markle’s memoir to cause ‘deep hurt’

Members of the Royal Family are reportedly worried as Meghan Markle’s memoir is likely to cause “deep hurt”.

Last month, it was revealed that the Duchess of Sussex is planning an autobiography of her own, following the worldwide success of her husband Prince Harry’s book Spare. The claim was made by royal author Tom Bower.

A royal author has claimed that there’s nothing Meghan Markle “won’t twist to justify her position” in her highly-anticipated “bombshell memoir”,

Royal commentator Phil Dampie told Fabulous: “The royals will assume the worst and brace themselves for more revelations.

“It would only make the relations much worse, but I still don’t think the royals will hit back.

“They will stay quiet and soak it up, even though they will be deeply hurt by it.

“Their policy was for Harry and Meghan to run out of ammunition, but unfortunately they have plenty left in the form of a Meghan book.

“There is nothing she won’t twist to justify her position.”

The author added he expects Prince Harry to back Meghan “100 percent” – whether she’s telling the truth or not.

He added: “I personally don’t think Meghan ever intended to stay in the royal family. But that won’t stop her concocting her own narrative of events to justify her actions, and I’m sure Harry will back her up 100 per cent.

“Even if it’s not justified I think Meghan has now convinced herself that she is right and can’t see the other side’s point of view.

The book is expected to touch upon Meghan’s relationship with various members of the royal family, including her sister-in-law Catherine, the Duchess of Wales, and father-in-law King Charles, and could even go as far as revealing some of their private conversations.

Phil added: “I doubt she will directly criticise the late Queen as she knows how unpopular that will be. But she could reveal private conversations and that would be very troubling for the King, the Queen and the Prince and Princess of Wales.

“Everyone will be fascinated to hear Meghan’s take on her relationship with Kate, whether she was hostile or welcomed her from the start. She probably thought she should have got equal billing and didn’t seem to appreciate from the start that she and Harry were the B team, not on the same level as William and Kate.

“She will probably talk about comparisons that were made in the press between them and will come across as bitter.”
