Real reason Prince Harry and Meghan Markle always hold hands in public revealed

Constantly holding hands is a common habit for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during both public and private outings and often observed as a sign of affection.

A dating coach and body language expert believes the gesture could be a “conscious decision” when the duo are public facing.

Analysing Harry and Meghan’s body language, love expert, Adam Lyons, said: “I suspect it was his way of initially showing her that he cares about her and won’t leave her alone in social gatherings.”

Mr Lyons claims the press “cares more” about what Prince Harry has to say, and in turn, this can leave Meghan feeling isolated.

He added: “You can see she [Meghan] tries to talk and have things to say, but the press cares more about what Prince Harry has to say and that has to be infuriating for her. So the hand-holding would serve as reassurance that he isn’t forgetting her.”

Dating expert, Adam Lyons, has over 12 years of experience teaching people the art of dating and affection and he believes Prince Harry’s ‘love language’ is physical touch.

He explained: “You can see them constantly touching, but he has a body lean towards her that she doesn’t have in return. In essence, his body constantly moves towards hers, one assumes to get touch.”

The five love languages are five different ways of expressing and receiving love: words of affirmation, quality time, receiving gifts, acts of service, and physical touch.

Not everyone communicates love in the same way, and likewise, people have different ways they prefer to receive love. The theory was originally published in 1992, by marriage counselor Gary Chapman and he based his theory on everyone having a primary love language.

In the duo’s Netflix docuseries, released in December 2022, the Duke of Sussex claimed that men in the royal family have a “temptation” to choose to marry women “who fit in the mould” instead of choosing to love – hinting he had done otherwise.

The California-based couple were last pictured attending the Bob Marley film premiere, ‘Bob Marley: One Love’, in Jamaica where they were holding hands before the screening of the event.

Analysing footage of Meghan Markle during the premiere, Mr Lyons said: “Her head doesn’t lean into him, she is looking out at everyone while he is constantly checking to see she’s ok.”

During the event, Meghan and Harry chatted with fellow attendees on the red carpet and posed for photos with Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness as well as Brian Robbins, the president and CEO of Paramount Pictures.
