Princess Kate 'won't offer olive branch to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for Christmas'

Princess Kate will likely not be offering an “olive branch” to her brother-in-law, Prince Harry, nor his wife, Meghan Markle, this Christmas as “things have gone too far” and she’s “hurt and insulted”, a royal expert has claimed.

BBC’s former royal correspondent Jennie Bond explained that even though the Princess of Wales has played a “peacemaker” role in the past, she will be “taking a step back” this time after Harry unleashed a series of “hurtful” an “upsetting” attacks towards her.

She told the Sun: “Catherine has played the peacemaker in the past and has brought William and Harry together, and I think that comes from her own family, and their values.

“But I think she has got to a stage whereby she has had to take a step back, things have gone too far, and she feels upset and, quite frankly, hurt and insulted.”

The expert added that Kate has also been hurt by Harry’s attacks aimed at his brother, Prince William and the rest of the Royal Family.

Bond said that Kate has not only been hurt by the personal attacks on herself but those aimed at her husband and the wider royal family too.

She continued: “I think Catherine has been badly hurt by Harry’s brutal attacks on William, like his decision to reveal so much of what went on during their disagreements, and by the claim that someone in the royal family questioned the tone of unborn Archie’s skin, it was such a generalised claim that it hurt the whole family

“I think Catherine and William have jointly decided that they will carry on with family life and work, and for most of the time, they don’t think about Harry very much, and I expect vice versa.

“I can’t see an olive branch being extended from either side any time soon.”

Prince Harry has been releasing bombshells about the Royal Family ever since he quit the Firm in early 2020.

He’s accused the Family of making racist remarks about his son, Prince Archie, during his infamous Oprah Winfrey interview in 2021 and he’s also released many alleged secrets of what goes on behind the scenes in his memoir Spare as well as the couple’s Netflix docuseries titled “Harry & Meghan”.

In his book, the Duke of Sussex claimed among many other things that the rift between Meghan Markle and his sister-in-law started when his future wife was introduced into royal life – explaining how both women were left in tears during the infamous bridesmaid dress row in 2018.
