Princess Kate reveals pregnancy hobby that turned into a disaster

Princess Kate once spoke about the pregnancy hobby she decided to adopt that unfortunately turned into a disaster.

The Princess of Wales is mother to Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight and Prince Louis, five and is known for her creative flair, taking an interest in cooking, photography and even drawing and painting.

But there is one craft the 41-year-old couldn’t master.

The royal revealed in 2013, whilst pregnant with Prince George, that she picked up knitting but was “really bad” at it.

According to Hello!, during a trip to Glasgow, pregnant Kate told a royal fan: “I’ve been trying to knit and I’m really bad. I should be asking for tips!”

And again in 2020, during a trip to Bradford, the mum-of-three confessed that she had failed at knitting a “very special jumper” for her firstborn.

Princess Kate visited the Older Yet Wiser, an organisation supporting grandparents with child-caring responsibilities, where she met with grandmothers who were showing off their crocheting skills.

She told the group: “I tried knitting when I first had George. I tried to knit him a very special jumper, but I got halfway down and it splattered. It’s such an amazing skill.”
