Princess Kate fans all saying the same thing after 'breaking the internet' with new photo

Princess Kate has left fans emotional after she posted a heart-warming image of her family and thanked the public for their support following her abdominal surgery.

Posting a photo in tribute to her family on Mother’s Day, Princess Kate shared a picture of her with her three smiling children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and five-year-old Prince Louis, with her eldest wrapping his arms around his mum.

One fan, @NReclining, wrote on X: “And, the Princess of Wales breaks the internet in 17 minutes flat…”

In just one hour of the photo being uploaded, ‘Kate’ was trending on X, formerly known as Twitter, with 45.4K mentions in posts about the princess.

User @LadyBofBelsize wrote: “What a gift to us all. What a gorgeous family and a most amazing Mum. Happy Mother’s Day to the Princess of Wales.”

Many fans expressed their joy in seeing the Princess of Wales happy with her children on this special occasion.

@RoyallyBelle_ said: “Absolutely wonderful to see the Princess looking so well and the children looking so big! A beautiful photo taken by the Prince, thank you for sharing.”

Another excited fan wrote: “Welcome back, Goddess Catherine. Princess of Wales. Have a Glorious Mothering Sunday.”

Princess Kate was last seen on an official engagement in Sandringham on Christmas Day with the wider Royal Family.

Since then, a grainy photo was published by US website TMZ showing the princess wearing sunglasses and a coat in the front of an Audi 4×4 as she was spotted near Windsor Castle, not far from her home. It is thought she was accompanying her mum Carole Middleton on a school run.

In the photo, taken by the Prince of Wales, the four are sitting on a patio, and smiling and laughing together as they pose for a photo in their warm, winter wear.

Alongside the sweet picture she wrote on social media platform X: “Thank you for your kind wishes and continued support over the last two months.

“Wishing everyone a Happy Mother’s Day. C”

Kensington Palace reaffirmed Princess Kate is “doing well” in recovery and would not be stepping out publicly until at least April.

The Palace’s last statement read: “Kensington Palace made it clear in January the timelines of the princess’ recovery and we’d only be providing significant updates. That guidance stands.”
