Princess Kate and William have downgraded 'Harry issue' as reconciliation chances dwindle

But it’s unlikely that he will be bringing his wife, Meghan Markle, or their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, after losing his legal battle against the Government over his police protection while in the UK,.

The Sussexes’ latest moves sparked hope that a path to reconciliation between the duke and his family could be opened, however, sources dismissed the claims and suggested that such a prospect would be highly unlikely, at least in the near future.

The pair have been estranged from the Royal Family after they stepped down as senior working royals and moved to the US in 2020, releasing various bombshell claims against the Firm.

Harry’s ever-so-deepening rift with William was evident during a recent event honouring their mother, the late Princess Diana, earlier this month, where the Prince of Wales left the ceremony before the duke appeared virtually.

It comes as Princess Kate last Friday bravely announced she has been diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer.

The princess’ announcement came amid weeks of wild speculation about her well-being and whereabouts, following her abdominal surgery back in January.

Since Friday’s announcement, there has been a global outpouring of support, with people flocking to the royal’s main London residence, Kensington Palace, as well as Windsor Castle, where they spend most of their time, to show support for the princess, with many leaving flowers.

The couple are said to be “extremely moved” by the public’s warmth and support, with a Kensington Palace spokesperson saying: “The prince and princess are both enormously touched by the kind messages from people here in the U.K., across the Commonwealth and around the world in response to Her Royal Highness’ message.

“They are extremely moved by the public’s warmth and support and are grateful for the understanding of their request for privacy at this time.”
