Princess Kate and Prince William share their highlight reel of 2023's royal duties

The Prince and Princess of Wales, who were last spotted in Sandringham for the Christmas Day church service, posted footage of some of their memorable moments of 2023 on social media as the couple look back on their work this year.

The post, which read: “2023 [green tick]. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our year”, was full of pictures and videos of some of the Waleses standout memories this year, including the King’s Coronation, as well as individual engagements undertaken by both William and Kate together and individually.

The Prince of Wales enjoyed many highlights this year, including his trip to Singapore for the Earthshot Prize Awards, with Princess Kate taking her usual duties of handing the Wimbledon Championship as patron of the All England Lawn & Tennis Club, following a memorable final.

The pair also played a big part in two important royal events for King Charles – his Coronation and his first Trooping The Colour as King, with the couple appearing at the balcony with other members of the family.

November was also a big month for William and Kate, who were central to the state visit of Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and his wife First Lady Kim Keon-hee, as well as standing in for King Charles by attending the Royal Variety Performance.

Of course, the video was also filled with personal highlights for the Waleses, and included many pictures with their children, with the video ending on their Christmas portrait, which went viral on social media earlier this month.

The post, which was posted across Kensington Royal social media handles, with many onlookers congratulating the Prince and Princess of Wales on their year of work and family achievements.

One user on Twitter (formerly X) wrote: “Beautiful! It was exciting royal watching this year. Looking forward to 2024.”

Another wrote: “Thank you for allowing us to be part of your year. So excited for the next year and so proud of you all!”

One added: “Another incredible year! Can’t wait to see what 2024 holds for our favourite royals”.

The Waleses overcame what was at times a difficult year, with damaging claims from Prince Harry in his tell-all Spare memoir in January, and further criticisms and allegations directed towards them in Omid Scobie’s Endgame book.

William and Kate remained united throughout, and have much to look forward to in 2024, with Prince George nearing a place at Kate’s former school Marlborough College.
