Princess Charlotte's 'crazy' hobby that she loves to do with little brother Prince Louis

Princess Charlotte has a favourite hobby that connects her to other members of the Royal Family. She loves dancing, just like her late grandmother, Princess Diana, Queen Camilla and the Duchess of Edinburgh.

During a visit to a Yorkshire textile mill, Princess Kate, Charlotte’s mum, chatted about her daughter’s love for ballet and tap dancing. Speaking to a seven-year-old girl named Emily, Kate said: “My daughter Charlotte likes dancing, she loves ballet and tap. Keep up the dancing.”

In 2023, Kate treated Princess Charlotte and her friends to a special ballet performance of Cinderella at the Royal Opera House in London. Queen Camilla, who is a big fan of dance and patron of the Royal Academy of Dance, also shares this love, the Mirror reports.

And it seems her interests have certainly passed down to the younger royals. Prince William shared a glimpse into his family’s home life during an appearance on the Apple Fitness + podcast Time to Walk.

He revealed: “One of the songs that the children are loving at the moment is Shakira, Waka Waka. There are a lot of hip movements! There’s a lot of dressing up.”

“Charlotte, particularly, is running around the kitchen in her dresses and ballet stuff and everything. She goes completely crazy with Louis following her around trying to do the same thing. It’s a really happy moment where the children just enjoy dancing, messing around and singing.”

But it’s not just Charlotte who enjoys dancing. At an event for BBC Radio 1’s Teen Awards, Prince William spoke about his son’s love for dance.

He said: “George is doing dancing as well, he loves it. My mother used to dance, she loved dancing. If it’s something you love, you do what you love. And it’s very rewarding. Don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise. You keep at it.”
