Prince William ‘would quite happily never speak’ to Harry again, anonymous 'friend' claims

There’s talk of Prince Harry reaching out to King Charles in the coming weeks, and possibly Princess Kate. It’s not known if Harry will reach out to his brother.

However, an anonymous “friend” has claimed William might not be ready to speak with this estranged brother after comments made about him in the documentary Harry & Meghan, reports The Daily Beast.

In the Netflix documentary, released in December 2022, Harry spoke on a “wedge” that had formed between him and William.

He said: “It was terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me.”

In his autobiography Spare, Harry claimed he got into a physical altercation with William, in which he pushed onto a dog bowl.

The source, which The Daily Beasts reports is a friend of the Wales family, said: “William would quite happily never speak to either of them again, but Kate’s a peacemaker at heart.”

The friend adds: “She would definitely be open to using this situation to build bridges.”

William and Harry have been on the outs for a while, four years and counting, and the friend suggests “health problems do tend to put everything else in perspective,” but even so, it doesn’t sound like it would be enough for William to let go of the hurt.

The friend says: “If Harry and Meghan have made an effort to reach out to Kate to offer their best wishes, Kate will reciprocate.”

“Everyone in the family has, frankly, had enough of the whole feud narrative.”

William may be okay with never speaking to his brother again, but he may be willing to put his differences aside out of respect for his wife, if she in fact chooses to reconcile.

The friend suggests this has gone on too long, saying, “It’s way past time the whole thing was put to bed. Trust has been damaged, and I don’t think they are ever going to be calling each other for a heart to heart like the old days, but it’s time to move on.”

Harry is predicted to reach out to Charles and have a dialogue, says royal writer Katie Nicholls.
