Prince William making changes to the monarchy – and it means fewer public engagements

Prince William has made it known that he’s doing things differently than the generations before him, and it’s being noticed by a royal historian.

He’s spoken about focusing on a few issues at a time, saying at last year’s Eathshot Prize awards ceremony, “If you spread yourself too thin, you just can’t manage it, and you won’t deliver the impact or the change, that you really want to happen.”

Daily Express US spoke to Marlene Koenig, author of Royal Musings blog, who says, “We’re going to see less of what I call ‘bread and butter’ engagements, we’re going to see far less of them opening hospitals.

Ms Koenig adds: “William and Catherine focusing on issues that they believe in, for example, the homeless, and the King does that, like providing funding to food banks.”
