Prince William let loose at Royal Family party so much he ended up in a 'fight'

Prince William once really let loose at a Royal Family Christmas party that he got into a “water fight”.

In an interview with Slingo, former royal butler Grant Harrold remembered the “hilarious” moment – and one that included many “fits of laughter”.

He said: “I remember going to one at St. James’ Palace and hanging out with Prince William, Prince Harry, and Camilla.

“I remember there was a water fight going on between another member of staff and Prince William — and I was in the firing line sitting between them!

“They filled up water balloons and it was hilarious. Everyone was in fits of laughter.”

Speaking about royal Christmasses, Mr Harrold – who worked for the royals between 2004 and 2011 – said: “Christmas will have changed a bit since the passing of the Queen, but traditions will be staying the same. The royals will all be together on Christmas Eve.”

Discussing traditions for the family, he added: “They normally have afternoon tea in the drawing room and give each other presents.

“On Christmas Day, the children will get their presents from Santa, they’ll have a served lunch and a buffet for dinner.

“Going to church is also a big part of the day. The Queen [Elizabeth II] would go to church at eight [in the morning] but I’m unsure whether the King would do that. He will then go to the famous service at Sandringham at 11 [in the morning].”

Just like Mr Harrold’s memories, the Royal Family did gather at the Sandringham estate earlier this week.

The King and Queen Camilla hosted at the estate for the second time, with royals such as the Prince and Princess of Wales joining them.

Prince William and his wife Princess Kate also bought along their three children – Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and five-year-old Prince Louis – who were undoubtedly excited to spend time with their grandfather and royal relatives.

The royals were also believed to be joined by Camilla’s two children and her five grandchildren.

Although many of the royals united together to celebrate the festive season, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle didn’t attend the Sandringham estate.

The couple are believed to have stayed in California with their two children – Prince Archie, four, and two-year-old Princess Lilibet.

Their two children have never experienced a royal Christmas, with the couple spending their fifth Christmas away from the Royal Family.
