Prince William inherited a huge amount of cash from his mother, the late Princess Diana when she died.
The late Princess of Wales left £12,966,022 for both her sons, Princes Harry and William but was reduced to £8,502,330 after death duties.
The money came from Diana’s divorce with the then Prince Charles, shares, jewellery, cash, and personal items from Kensington Palace.
But since the two royals were quite young at the time, their money was kept from them and was instead cleverly invested by royal advisors, which resulted in the fortune swelling to more than £20million by the time they were of age.
The £20million was equally shared between Harry and William, however, the heir to the throne also inherited his father’s Duchy of Cornwall when he became Prince of Wales last September.
