Prince William and Princess Kate's sweet moment with Queen sends TikTok into a frenzy

A sweet moment between Prince William, Princess Kate and Queen Elizabeth II captured on camera more than a decade ago has delighted tens of thousands of royal fans on TikTok.

In 2012, the Prince and Princess of Wales headed to Nottingham train station and were waiting on the platfrom when the monarch arrived. The moment was caught on video and just landed on TikTok, already amassing over 150,000 views.

In the clip, William leans over and kisses his grandmother on the cheek. Princess Kate follows suit, first curtseying to the Queen and then giving her a peck on the cheek.

The TikTok community has responded to the sweet video, lighting up the comments section. One user wrote: “The Queen was a wonderful woman,” while another commented: “Such elegance.”

The comments keep going, running down the page, such as “Beautiful,” “I love them,” “The Queen was beautiful to the end,” and “The Queen always loved Catherine.”

One TikTok user also says: “These three.”

Meanwhile on Tuesday, Queen Camilla paid a touching tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II.

She was pictured spending her afternoon with The Royal Lancers, where she is Colonel-in-Chief, as they planted 1000 oak saplings on the Sandringham Estate in memory of Her Majesty.

Camilla was spotted getting involved with the digging, as well as speaking with members of the Regiment.

The Royal Family wrote on their official account on X (formerly Twitter): “The Queen, as Colonel-in-Chief of @TheRoyalLancers, has joined soldiers from the Regiment as they plant 1000 oak saplings on the Sandringham Estate, in memory of Queen Elizabeth II.”

Queen Elizabeth II was appointed Colonel in Chief of the 16th/5th Lancers by her father on her 21st birthday in 1947.

Camilla took over the role following the Queen’s death in September 2022.
