Prince William and Kate's children to 'take a break' from school for fortnight of fun

The Prince and Princess of Wales’ three children are set to “take a break” from school as the young trio gear up for a fortnight of fun.

Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and five-year-old Prince Louis will have two weeks out of their classrooms.

Just in time for Halloween, the trio will not head back until October 30.

Although plans have not been revealed, it is suspected that their two-week break will look just like their school peers with lots of family time and fun-filled activities.

Previously Kate and William have said that their three children enjoy anything from baking to arts and crafts – but the family’s favourite activity appears to be spending time outdoors.

In 2020, Kate shared that she was happiest when “I’m with my family outside in the countryside and we’re all filthy dirty”.

During a rare interview with the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast, Kate told host Giovanna Fletcher: “Someone did ask me the other day, what would you want your children to remember about their childhood?

“And I thought that was a really good question, because actually if you really think about that, is it that I’m sitting down trying to do their maths and spelling homework over the weekend?”

She added: “Or is it the fact that we’ve gone out and lit a bonfire and sat around trying to cook sausages that hasn’t worked because it’s too wet?”

The family’s love of nature was evident during a visit to the 3rd Upton Scout Group in Slough back in May.

The family-of-five were all present, with the children all clearly enjoying what the day had to offer.

Anne Edwards, one of the adult Scout helpers, told PEOPLE: “[Prince] Louis was very enthusiastic and did a good job.

“He was determined to do it all by himself, and he managed to dig the whole paintbrush in, flick it up, and managed to cover quite a few of us in paint! He was doing a good job!”

According to Ms Edwards, Princess Charlotte kept an eye on her little brother. She added: “[Charlotte] was advising him, obviously! ‘Don’t do that, Louis!’ — things like that.”

After a busy few weeks of royal engagements, the Prince and Princess of Wales could be set to relax their schedules in order to spend some time with their three little ones – but not before their visit to France this weekend.

The couple, who are known to like keeping their schedules to a minimum during the school breaks, are set to head to France today for the Rugby World Cup quarter finals.

As patron of the Welsh Rugby Union, William will attend the Wales versus Argentina match today, October 14.

Kate, who is patron of the Rugby Football Union and the Rugby Football League, will attend England’s match against Fiji on Sunday, October 15.
