Prince William and Kate at 'breaking point' over Harry and Meghan's 'hypocrisy'

The Prince and Princess of Wales are said to be at “breaking point” amid a new war looming with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The royal couple are said to be reeling over Harry and Meghan’s “hypocrisy” – particularly as the release of the new season of The Crown edges closer.

A source has claimed that Prince William finds the Netflix series “damaging and hurtful”, with them claiming that he is “concerned” about the storylines that could be forthcoming.

William and Kate are said to be “riled up” over the fact that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are still working closely with the popular streaming service.

The last season will be released in two parts – with the first instalment airing next week.

A source told Heat Magazine: “There is so much bad blood between them already, and the new season of The Crown is just adding more fuel to the fire.

“It’s stirring up a lot of anger for William and Kate, they’re so against the series – they feel violated by it”.

Kate and Wiliam reportedly find it “hypocritical” that, although they stepped down as senior royals and asked for privacy, Meghan and Harry have continued to work with Netflix.

The source added: “William and Kate think it’s pretty rich that Meghan and Harry go on about how important privacy is and how much they need to protect their image, but now Netflix – the company they’ve signed their life away to – is completely violating William and Kate’s privacy and control of their image.”

Harry and Meghan signed a multi-million-pound deal with Netflix in 2020, shortly after stepping down as senior royals.

The couple released their first major project – a six-episode docuseries titled Harry and Meghan – in December 2022.

According to the aforementioned insider, the couple’s docuseries is what pushed their relationship with William and Kate to “breaking point”.

Less than two years after their royal wedding, Harry and Meghan announced their decision to step down in January 2020.

Harry and Meghan released a statement on their official Instagram account where they stated their wish to “work to become financially independent”.

Aside from their docuseries, Meghan and Harry have released two other projects on Netflix, including Harry’s Heart of Invictus.

The couple now live in California with their two young children, four-year-old Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, two.
