Prince Harry's emotional eight-word message to Princess Kate on wedding day

Prince Harry had a heartfelt reaction to Kate Middleton’s wedding day, according to his memoir ‘Spare’.

He described Kate as “the sister I’d never had and always wanted” during Prince William’s royal wedding.

However, he also felt a sense of loss as he realised his relationship with his brother was changing.

He wrote: “I recall Kate walking down the aisle, looking incredible, and I recall Willy walking her back up the aisle, and as they disappeared through the door, into the carriage that would convey them to Buckingham Palace, into the eternal partnership they’d pledged, I recall thinking: Goodbye.”

“I loved my new sister-in-law, I felt she was more sister than in-law, the sister I’d never had and always wanted, and I was pleased that she’d forever be standing by Willy’s side.

He told them: “I looked forward to the four of us spending lots of time together,” and confessed that it had been his dream.

In the bomshell memoir, he wrote: “I confessed, for the umpteenth time, that this had long been my dream – to join them with an equal partner. To become a foursome.”

But his elder brother warned him not to rush things as his relationship with Meghan was still fresh, which left Harry feeling “a little bit hurt”.
