Prince Harry voted second most popular royal to succeed King Charles, in shocking new poll

The survey was carried out by Betfair Bingo and involved 2,006 UK adults, who were asked the question: “Which Royal would you like to see take on the role of King or Queen next?”

The Prince of Wales secured a huge 47.5 percent of the vote, with Harry receiving 8.8 percent and Kate, Princess of Wales coming in third place with 6.6 percent.

Princess Anne was in fourth place, followed in order by Meghan Markle, Prince Edward, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, Princess Eugenie, Zara Tindall and Princess Beatrice.

No one outside the top three obtained more than five percent of the votes.

Another survey of US citizens found that most people backed the Royal Family’s decision to give Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet their royal titles.

According to polling carried out by Redfield & Wilton for Newsweek, over half of those surveyed (53 percent) agreed that Harry and Meghan’s children should have the right to the titles.

However 15 percent said they should not have been allowed to use the titles, which as grandchildren of the monarch they are now entitled to.

Just days after their title changes were announced, it was revealed that the King’s youngest brother Prince Edward would also be receiving the title Duke of Edinburgh, last held by their late father Prince Philip.

His wife Sophie was also promoted from Countess of Wessex to Duchess of Edinburgh, in accordance with the wishes of Philip.

Their teenage son James, therefore, became the Earl of Wessex, however, their eldest daughter Lady Louise has not been given a new title.

Despite the royal rules recently being changed in order to make sure daughters are not skipped over in favour of sons, the changes only came into effect after the births of Louise and James.
