Prince Harry is expected to return to the UK soon, but if he doesn’t, one expert says he’ll have “some explaining” to do.
The Duke of Sussex is due back in the UK next month to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. He’s set to speak at a special service at St. Paul’s Cathedral on May 8 for the event.
Royal writer Tom Quinn believes Harry will likely come back to the UK, as not attending the event could highlight his tense relationship with Prince William.
Speaking to The Mirror, he said: “Barring a major upset, Harry will certainly return to the UK for the Invictus games in May it’s his baby.
“If he decides not to come, it will take some explaining, because everyone will assume it’s because he doesn’t want the awkwardness of having to meet his brother or having to choose not to meet him.”

“Harry and William have had a strained relationship for years, and Harry didn’t reunite with his brother when he last came back to the UK in February.”
Mr Quinn added: “Not coming would be worse than finding some sort of compromise where Harry sees William for 10 minutes or comes up with some reason why he doesn’t have time to see his brother and his father and has to get back to the States quickly to be with his children. But no one is going to be fooled by these excuses.”
Harry spoke about returning to the UK after his February visit to see King Charles following the Monarch’s cancer diagnosis.
On Good Morning America, the Duke said: “So my family and my life in California is as it is.
“I have got other trips planned. That would take me through the UK or back to the UK, so you know, I’ll stop in and see my family as much as I can.
He also mentioned how thankful he was for seeing the King earlier this year.
“Look I love my family. The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him I’m grateful for that,” he said.
