Prince Harry 'in worse trouble than he realises' over US visa and Spare revelations

Prince Harry is in “worse trouble than he realises” following a lawsuit over the Duke’s US visa application, a royal expert has warned.

The Duke of Sussex, who relocated to the US with Meghan Markle in 2020, is currently under scrutiny as a judge reviews his visa application.

It comes after Harry admitted to past drug use in his memoir, Spare, which was released in January 2023.

Washington-based think tank The Heritage Foundation last year lodged a request for the release of Harry’s application – and the papers have now been handed to Judge Carl Nichols.

Should the Duke be found to have lied on the application, he faces the prospect of seeing his visa cancelled and his future in the US could be in the balance.

Royal commentators are now suggesting that these revelations could spell more trouble for the Duke than anticipated, reports the Mirror.

On Talk TV, royal expert Michael Cole expressed his concerns to Kevin O’Sullivan and Alex Phillips, saying: “I think he’s in worse trouble than he probably realises.”

Meanwhile, royal commentator Charlotte Griffiths believes Harry is likely “very anxious” to learn what is going to happen and admitted she was surprised the Heritage Foundation’s request had sparked a similar raucous.

Speaking to GB News, Griffiths said: “I’m actually amazed we’ve got here, because this feels like it’s been rumbling on for months and months.

“At first it felt like a bit of a stunt from the Heritage Foundation. They did the freedom of information request, and we wondered if it would really lead to anything.

“But this moment is really big because it’s actually led to something, this is really happening now.”
