Prince Harry holds 'Government talks' to bring Meghan Markle, Archie and Lilibet to UK

Prince Harry is reportedly in “Government-level talks” about bringing his wife Meghan Markle, Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two, to the UK later this year.

The Duke of Sussex is hoping to bring his family-of-four back to England for the service at St Paul’s Cathedral to mark the 10-year anniversary of the Invictus Games.

As reported in OK! Magazine, the source said Harry is currently holding “Government-led talks” to organise the whole family coming over. The source added: “Harry is very keen for his entire family to join him. It’s important for him that they show a united front and focus on building bridges with the rest of the Royal Family.”

The visit would be Meghan’s first to the UK since Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in September 2022 and the children’s first since the Platinum Jubilee in the same year.

In just three months time, Prince Harry could be back to celebrate the cause that is close to his heart, having founded the games in 2014.

The source added: “The move to bring the Invictus Games back to Britain is seen as an opportunity for Harry and he is very keen to take it. He is adamant that he wants Meghan and the children to join him, but I think she may be apprehensive and I think she finds being in the UK very uncomfortable.”

Meanwhile, a multi-million-pound Government bid has also been made to see the games being hosted in the Midlands, in Birmingham, in 2027.

The cabinet office hopes to finance a four-year programme to improve the lives of veterans and civilians, which is Prince Harry’s passion.

However, Meghan returning to UK soil has been deemed an “uncomfortable” move by critics. In Omid Scobie’s book Endgame, the author made the claim that Meghan “never really felt at home” in the UK, and “never wants to step foot in England again”.

Meanwhile, The Duke and his wife are facing fresh concerns over their new website “rebrand”, with a representative last week defiantly stating, “this couple will not be broken”.

Prince Harry and Meghan hit back at critics of their new website sussex.com, which was met with a backlash from critics who argue that the pair are trying to “reclaim” their royal titles and status.
